FAQ: Your Questions, Answered
These FAQs cover the most common questions I get from clients who want to better understand their dogs and build a relationship based on respect, calm, and connection. If you’re wondering whether I can help, read on and feel free to reach out.
It might seem like a big leap, but for me, dog training is a natural continuation of what I’ve always done: helping others understand, heal, and communicate more clearly. I spent over 15 years as a naturopathic doctor and executive coach, guiding people through complex challenges and transitions. That background taught me how to observe carefully, diagnose patterns quickly, and teach in a way that truly lands.
When I began working with dogs, I found myself using those same skills - reading behavior, calming nervous systems (both human and canine), and helping people become more confident, clear leaders. Clients often tell me I’m a wonderful teacher and one of the most patient humans they’ve worked with. I take that to heart, because this work is almost more about supporting people as it is about training dogs. That’s my differentiator and why this approach gets such consistent results.
I use balanced training rooted in clear communication, leadership, and compassion. That means I combine structure and affection to help your dog feel calm, safe, and connected to you. My approach is about building trust and respect between you and your dog.
Yes, absolutely. I specialize in behavior modification for reactivity, aggression, anxiety, and fear-based behaviors. I’ve helped many families safely and confidently work through these challenges. Every dog has the potential to improve with the right approach and consistency.
Definitely. Many of my clients have adopted dogs with difficult or unknown histories. I’ll help you understand what your dog is trying to communicate, ease the transition into your home, and build a strong, trusting relationship from day one. We meet on Zoom, and I coach you live while you work with your dog, and answer any questions or concerns you may have. I’ll guide you through exactly what to do, explain why it works, and help you adjust your approach if needed. Between sessions, I’m available on WhatsApp for follow-up questions and support.
I work in English only for now, but when you understand a dog’s body language and emotional cues, you’re speaking their language. And that’s what I teach you to do.

I tailor tools to each dog and family, always prioritizing humane, clear, and effective communication. That can include various leashes and collars, crates, and reward markers. I’ll show you how to use them responsibly and with intention. Tools don’t train dogs, people do.
Yes, early training sets the tone for your dog’s entire life. I’ll help you build a solid foundation with house training, leash skills, boundaries, and confidence-building, all while preventing future behavioral issues.
Still curious? Let’s talk.
